hiding in pretty dresses...

So, I promised myself I'd be a better blogger with this new blog and already I'm falling behind! Boo. I do have a handful of excuses, but really I'll spare everyone. Here is a picture of me hiding in two of my prettiest dresses. The black one was a recent present from my best friend, and the lavender one is a dress I wore to my high school prom years, and years, and years ago!! I'm thinking of putting the prom dress in my etsy shop, but haven't quite decided yet. It's beautiful, but I know I probably won't wear it again...

my new favorite best...

I recently found this lovely black vintage slip, and cream cardigan. I played with some old favorites to create this look. It's my new favorite. I find it so lovely and strange how an outfit can really affect your mood. This outfit makes me feel like writing love letters sealed with wax initials, riding trains, pretending to be a aged black and white photograph, taking a stroll on a cobblestone street, drinking fancy coffee drinks in pretty cafes...

Today I wore this outfit to a cafe. A cute boy gave me free coffee, then I walked to Japantown. Japantown in Sf is a little sad, but I love it anyways. I bought Japanese groceries and made lotus root burgers, a burdock/carrot stir fry, pumpkin, and rice for dinner. I think I'm becoming a half decent cook.

Yesterday I went to a harp festival in a beautiful mausoleum. I wondered into candlelit alcoves and listened to beautiful music from different parts of the world. I decided I want to marry a harpist, every night I will be serenaded to sleep by the plucking of strings. I will feel as if the angels are kissing my cheeks and whispering goodnight.

an oldie...

but goodie.

This picture was taken almost a year ago of one of my favorite, favorite dresses! I always feel like a Japanese Lolita whenever I wear it. It's hard to see details(my camera likes to act up!), but it's a sweet shear polka dot dress with lace trim.

Heatwave

Recently there has been a slight heatwave in SF. It's such a wonderful treat for us San Franciscans who usually wear tights, coats, and even scarves in the summertime! I definitely love warm days that allow me to wear dreamy summer dresses.
